FBEWho We Are

Our No-Cost Training Session Philosophy:
Federal Benefits Educators (FBE) is committed to providing truly “No-Cost”, non-commercial training sessions for Federal Agencies and their employees. Preparing for retirement is both challenging and complex in today’s retirement benefits and financial environment. At FBE we believe that providing “No-Cost” (for either agency or employee) non-commercial training sessions will enhance agency utilization and employee attendance.  In this manner FBE believes a greater number of Federal Employees will benefit from this critical training information.

How we are able to Provide No-Cost Training Sessions:

FBE is able to provide a “No-Cost” option through sponsorship by a local member of the FBE Advisors Network.

Does sponsorship mean attendees are subjected to a “commercial sales activity” if they attend an FBE provided training session?
No… local FBE Advisors Network members sponsor a training session in order to make federal employees in their area aware of the availability of their services but no commercial activities of any kind are allowed in the training session environment. FBE strictly controls the training environment. The following safeguards are implemented in each training session to insure compliance with FBE’s “no-commercial activities” guarantee:

  • FBE provides a qualified, trained presenter who conducts each training session. The FBE trainer does not sell any product or service and is only there to represent FBE and provide the agreed upon training session utilizing an FBE approved training curriculum. All FBE trainers are former or retired federal employees and many are retired human resource officers in federal service.
  • The training curriculum is available for review by Federal Agency or Human Resource managers and does not include any financial product or service outside of those offered in the federal benefits plans. All content and discussion is strictly and directly related to federal benefits. Federal Agencies are always welcome to have a monitor present to oversight adherence to course curriculum.
  • Training session sign in sheets are provided to Federal Agency Managers or Human Resource Professionals as requested to track employee utilization and monitor attendance. Sponsoring FBE Advisors Network members are not provided with sign in sheets.
  • Attending employees may, at their sole discretion, request additional information from the Sponsoring Advisor through a training session evaluation/information request process. Fulfillment of information requests is conducted outside of the training session on the employees own personal time and outside of Federal facilities.
